Mission & History
Our Mission:
Tobacco-Free St. Louis is a grassroots coalition that educates citizens, provides resources, and supports policies to eliminate the burden of tobacco.
Our Vision:
To achieve a healthy, tobacco-free environment for the Greater St. Louis area.
Our History:
Tobacco-Free St. Louis (formerly Tobacco-Free Missouri, Greater St. Louis) is made up of more than 600 organizations, schools, businesses, and concerned citizens who come together to work on the many health issues that result from tobacco use. This includes preventing children from using tobacco and helping adults quit smoking.
The coalition has been in existence since 1993, and it became an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2005.
